Some time ago, we removed all of our posts and pictures on this blog due to some difficulties from blog land. Since then, I have gradually reopened some of the posts that had been previously removed and added new entries about Ally's encounters. A Serious Error and Bad Choice of Judgement

I gave a call out to a blog and posted a picture from that blog, with a link, without asking permission.
I know better. I most likely would have been offended and angered by a similar action by another blogger.
More troubling for me, is that this individual, who has a wonderfully constructed blog with engaging and well written posts that I find relevant to my own life as a parent and husband, has now been offended by my actions.
I am shamed by my actions and I am truly sorry for my lack of judgement and very poor behavior.

I hope you all enjoyed your Halloween festivities. We were pretty much planted in front of the TV watching way too many hours of Ghost Hunters / TAPS on SciFi which broadcast live from a Civil War fort in Delaware. (Non HD Only) We shared door duty. It was a pretty quiet holiday for us. We didn't really decorate at all this year.
I haven't really decided what will come of this blog. I like sharing information about our exploits. But the specific comment on a previous post by a frequent visitor really agitated me. Ally and I really are pretty nice people, and while our behavior in this arena may not fit generally accepted social norms, neither of us deserve that kind of crap especially from that self important jerk whose own blog isn't up to par with most of the people who do post here. I still can't believe that he didn't get it. I have seriously considered just deleting this blog. I have also considered the suggestions that we make this an "invite-only" blog. I have also considered just leaving it dormant. But the fact of the matter is I do enjoy posting here. It is a release for me that allows me to share anonymously the events in our life that I can not share with friends and family.
For the time being I am continuing on in a very limited way. And for those of you who have commented and sent e-mails, I wish to say Thank You! Your comments were most comforting. It was refreshing to learn that so many of you do enjoy what we post here and that for some, we are somewhat of an inspiration. Imagine that! An inspiration.......
