This post has little to do with the Holidays. Our week, like I am sure yours is, is crazy busy with work, in an effort to accomplish so much before the vacation weeks.
Early this morning, while in bed sharing some early morning TV news time and coffee with Ally, she reached over and reached over and into my sleep bottom pocket. "Where is my lighter?" she asked.
"Don't touch me" I said. "Don't touch my penis, you can't touch my penis" I added. She smiled a little. I stated "You can't have any penis the rest of the week!"
After the briefest of pauses, she made this smirking laugh chuckle noise. I don't know what it was but it was very cute.
We both laughed.
And that brings me to the point. Today is Wednesday. Ally has a little meeting scheduled for either tomorrow afternoon or Friday morning with a certain friend. And where normally (Did I just type "normally"???????) I would be at home pacing around the house or in some way trying to keep myself occupied, I will instead be in one of either two very large and important meetings, both of which require some road travel to attend.
How am I ever going to be able to remain focused during these? I really don't know. This will be quite the little test for me. But a fun pre Holiday week is before me today.
